Lisa M. Lum specializes in luxury residential real estate across the San Francisco Peninsula. With a foundation in Legal Studies from UC Berkeley (Class of '99) and over fourteen years navigating Silicon Valley's most discerning real estate markets, she brings analytical precision and genuine care to every client relationship.
Her career has spanned global luxury hospitality (The Peninsula Paris, The Peninsula Shanghai) and Silicon Valley's tech ecosystem (Berkeley Skydeck, Asia America MultiTechnology Association), giving her uncommon depth on both Bay Area tech executives and international buyers across Europe, Asia, and the Pacific.
Her work on the Peninsula has contributed to over 140 transactions and $550M+ in sales since 2022, drawing on deep market knowledge, multilingual fluency in English, Chinese, Japanese, and French, and an unwavering commitment to her clients' best interests.
Licensed since 2018 (DRE #02005150), Lisa serves as a board member of the Cal Alumni Association and is the founding president of Cal Alumni of Silicon Valley. She is affiliated with Coldwell Banker Realty at 1706 El Camino Real, Menlo Park.
Lisa oversaw operational development and planning for The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, Ltd., the parent company of The Peninsula Hotels. She helped open The Peninsula Paris in 2014 and The Peninsula Shanghai in 2009, both large-scale mixed-use developments totaling over one million square feet. She first joined the Peninsula Group in 2001 at The Peninsula Beijing as a management trainee. Earlier in her career, Lisa was a senior executive at 1868 Associates, Inc., providing project management to clients across Beijing and Singapore.
Lisa has also served as Executive Director of the Asia America MultiTechnology Association (AAMA), where she led the organization's work connecting venture capitalists, founders, and emerging innovators across Silicon Valley and Asia. The role gave her a working knowledge of how tech executives evaluate and finance major life decisions, including their homes.
Lisa grew up in San Francisco. She holds a BA in Legal Studies from UC Berkeley and spent one year with the Associated Kyoto Program at Doshisha University in Japan. She has since completed the Venture Capital Executive Program at Berkeley Haas and the Hotel Revenue Management Certificate at Cornell University.
Today, in addition to her real estate practice, Lisa serves on the board of the Cal Alumni Association at UC Berkeley, is the founding president of Cal Alumni of Silicon Valley, and is an advisor at Berkeley Skydeck.
The result: one Realtor for the whole luxury Peninsula. Four languages. More than a decade opening landmark luxury developments. Direct lines into Silicon Valley's tech and Cal alumni networks. Across an Atherton estate, a multilingual international buyer, and a Silicon Valley founder's first Peninsula home, Lisa brings what these markets quietly ask for: a global perspective, grounded in a deep fluency with the architecture and landscape that define the SF Peninsula.
Whether you're buying your first home or selling a legacy property, Lisa brings the same level of dedication to every client.
